Our local tavern has a sign “Free Beer Tomorrow.”

And you know the tavern will not be giving away any free beer as that little word tomorrow never actually arrives.

It is always one day off you may say.

What if all you had was today?

Tomorrow did not exist?

Apart from being a bit scary and like a bit of pressure it sure does help me to get into action more quickly than I normally would. For me it has been about taking those small daily actions to add up to big changes in my life.

I am not saying that things cannot happen over night but many things do take a little bit of planning.

If you are the CEO of a magazine and walk in one morning and announce to your colleagues that you have found your calling and you are going to open a florist. But have not taken any actions or made any plans to set this up. It may seem a little shall we say hasty?

Now I do think this is a great idea. However you might want to take a floral arranging course first, maybe check out the local competitors etc.

What I am saying is that as scary as it may seem to pursue your passion. It is not something you do all at once.

You take steps – baby steps, you transition, you set your self up for success.

You do not live for tomorrow or the one day I will be, you take the actions today and before you know it there you are.

And not doing it on your own sure does help

What are you putting off to tomorrow?

Enjoy
Julie-Anne

Do jump out of bed on a Monday morning excited about the day ahead?

And just can’t wait to get to work?

Wouldn’t that be just wonderful if the way you chose to spend the majority of your time was actually the way you earned a living?

Well I think so and now being on the other side of this coin myself and helping many others transition to their dream job I know it is possible. I really don’t know why I stayed in so many energy draining situations. Yes I do, fear mostly. But then again all of my experiences did add up to who I am today and have given me this wonderful life.

I had many jobs that I absolutely hated. As Sunday afternoon came around so did my dread for Monday morning. Don’t get me wrong I had some pretty good jobs and was successful at many of them but I just did not feel fulfilled. I was always looking to see how I could take as much time off as possible. Using all of my sick days and vacation days virtually as soon as they were accrued.

I knew that there was something I was meant to be doing. I just had no idea what it was. And with the greater part of my day spent at work I wanted to earn my living by doing what I love.

I envied people who knew what they wanted to be when they grew up. Or could easily identify their passion. Even if they were not pursuing their passion, to me at least they knew what it was. In my mind they were so far ahead of the game. I could not understand how they could not be pursuing their purpose. I felt one step behind and really never fully present as I just wanted to know what my role in the world was.

I did everything trying to figure out my purpose on the planet and how that translated into a career for myself. Unfortunately most of the time I was focusing on job titles instead of what I actually enjoyed doing.

Eventually I was encouraged to observe how I naturally spent my time. For me I knew I loved asking questions, being creative, inspiring and empowering people and I wanted to have the potential for unlimited income whilst being able to dictate my own schedule. I enjoyed writing, entertaining and also making people laugh.

I was given a writing assignment by a friend. I was to answer the two following questions without judgment or thought. Just let whatever pops into my head come out on the page.

What brings me joy?

How does the universe want me to be of service in the world when it comes to work?

I got up every morning and wrote the answer to those questions. Free flow writing for 3 days. On the third day Life Coach appeared on the page. I had no idea what that was or what they did at all. But after pursuing this intuitive thought I found that everything I wanted out of a career aligned with that of a Life Coach.

If you are not fulfilled by your work life and want to earn your living by doing what you love. I invite you today to write down what it is that you really want to do. If you had all the money in the world how would you spend your time?

Then take one small action towards that dream today. It could be as simple as researching others who are doing what you want to, confiding in a friend your real passion or simple saying okay universe/spirit/god if this is what you want me to do SHOW ME A SIGN!

Enjoy
