enjoying the journey

October 13th, 2008 by Julie-Anne

I have been listening to Eckhart Tolle and Oprah’s A New Earth podcast for the second time.  It always amazes me how much more I hear when I listen to things again.  For me I can’t force my understanding of these concepts but in hearing this information repeatedly it gradually starts to seep in and connect with my inner knowing.

What I think I am really getting a grasp around is the whole being in the moment, coming from a clear state (not negative) and that when we are truly present that is when we are most empowered.

For me I had functioned in the exact opposite way always looking ahead, never being satisfied with what I was doing in the moment and constantly dreaming about the when that lived in the future.  So I was very rarely in touch with my most empowered self as I was very rarely truly in the moment.

The great freedom that has come for me is now truly starting to understand, incorporate and fully believe that if I accept where I am right now, am present and do what is in front of me today the future will take care of itself.  This is not to say that I don’t have plans and goals but they are broken down into what action is in front of me to do right now.  The freedom that comes with no longer having to figure everything out coupled with letting go of having to know the HOW of it all and be in control is such a weight off my shoulders.  I can relax, breathe and be.

The greatest gift which was so foreign to me is that then life truly does become about enjoying the journey.  The adventure and the miracles that happen each and every day.  And for me learning to be in the moment and in action whilst not knowing the outcome is becoming more and more fun.  And also for me it is consciously practicing it.

So I invite you to step out of worry and fear today and step into the present moment and your power.  Enjoy your process and the wonderful adventure that is your life.  You will be amazed!

Enjoy
